Smoking is the process of flavoring, cooking, or preserving food by exposing it to the smoke from burning or smoldering plant materials, most often wood. Meats and Fish are the most common smoked foods. Foods have been smoked by humans throughout history. Originally this was done as a preservative. In more recent times fish is readily preserved by refrigeration and smoking of fish is generally done for the unique taste and flavor imparted by the smoking process.

There is nothing really pretty about having a whole fish sit on your platter if you are not a sea food connoisseur but having tried it on an earlier occasion I knew this was one delectable item and not to be missed.

Did practically nothing with this one. Bought the pre-smoked fish from a food store, put it on the grill for a while. Once done, threw it on a bed of lettuce with some tomatoes and pickles and well, that’s it…as my daughter rhymes…yummy, yummy in my tummy. :)
