The Sun impishly played with the clouds outside the window. I looked around and saw the leafless trees set in motion by the unforgiving wind. The light flickered on the lake before it set into motion a thousand relentless dreams. I sat by the sill and looked out of the wooden pane for a while, freezing the frame in my head to last a life time.

The human mind degenerates over time and the soul decocts when left unattended simmering over a daily dose of mundane reality. Unfulfilled dreams are the emulsifiers which thickens whatever is left in the veins. The memory recedes and we blame it on aging forgetting the truth that we let our joints rust in the very first place.

The intoxication lasts long enough to paralyze the flow of thought, emotion and eventually any visible trace of life left in the body. In reality we are long dead before the coroner takes over.

And this… is just a matter of time.

Degeneration
